A New Look for the Mailbox

Chris and I have spend the past couple of weekends working in our yard. This is just some of the fun things we have done to sprucing up our front yard.
We added some marigolds, a yellow knockout rose, and some purple lantana. I think it looks pretty good. Can't wait for the yellow knowout rose to produce some blooms!

We are the Comer Fav 4!

This past Wednesday one of our departments in the college I work in hosted an "Egg Estravaganza". They served us dinner and afterwards we played those corny games that you hated playing as child. Me and three of my lovely co-workers decided we would have a team, so we called ourselves the "Comer Fav 4". That's us all in bright pink in the picture above. Although we came in 4th place overall (out of 10 teams), we had a blast! I even enjoyed playing those relay games and I totally avoided them as a child. It is so much fun to goof off at work
and to love the people you work with!

I'm just saying "you might be a redneck"....

Ok, so yesterday Chris and I went to Academy Sports , it was my payback for making Chris go into the new Ulta (cosmetics) store earlier. Anyway, after looking at the shoes which is about the only thing that I look at there, I was in the women's department and came across a camoflouge swimsuit and had myself a nice little laugh (I even made Chris come and look at it). I am by no means a fashionista but I do know enough to stay away from camo-swimsuits....there kind of like those "corona" swimsuits you see girls wearing....yuck!

I know that there are girls out there that would love to have this swimsuit but all I'm saying is you might be redneck..... or maybe camo just isn't my color .....

Dry Cleaning Tote Bag

Last year I organized my laundry room, I bought recycling containers and built shelves to hold my detergent, iron, and etc... Of course my inspiration came from Better Homes and Garden Magazine. It had an article on organizing your laundry closet/room and one of the ideas was to have a "dry cleaning " tote bag. So I had my mom sew me a drawstring bag and I finally monogrammed it this weekend. I also use the bag to put my hand wash clothes in. It is just an easy way to separate the dry cleaning and hand wash clothes, then when I need to go to the dry cleaners all the items are in one spot and all I have to do is grab the bag on the way out the door.

Oh, to be a kitty!

This is how I would really like to spend my Monday, especially when it's 50 degrees and windy outside. Wouldn't it be nice to be a kitty?
Here's my "spoiled" kitty, Scout. Somedays, I really wish I could live his life...it just seems so warm and snuggly !

Do I have the magic touch?

So the first part of my weekend was spent at the lake!! I caught me some sun...in fact a little too much, I am usually a sunscreen girl but just didn't put it on in time, oh well. The second part of the weekend was spent going to church, babysitting baby Walker. This was a totally new experience for Chris and I. Although he cried for the first full hour (I was beginning to think that we didn't have the magic touch), Chris totally rocked and walked him around the house, which calmed him for a little while, but I came through to save the day, Walker finally fell asleep in my lap, maybe I do have the magic touch....hmmmmmm......
