Despite the fact that it rained all last weekend, Chris and I were able to get a few things done in our backyard. In my last Better Homes and Garden magazine (Love it, Love it), I saw where they had added decorative touches to raised beds. Last fall Chris and his dad actually built a couple of raised beds for our yard, and on Saturday we added a little something to them to make them look a heck of a lot nicer. Check it out for your self....
The is the a flower box that is off of our patio. It is filled with seasonal flowers!
Half of this raised bed will be used for some veggies and the other half will be used for a flower cutting garden. Hopefully in a couple of months it will beautiful!

I get that mag too and have not read it yet! My raised bed could use some of those touches! be sure to post all about what you are planting!
ReplyDeletei am so inspired by you. i told josh i had to have raised beds with flowers and veggies asap! ha! we'll see if we ever get around to it. keep me updated so i'll know what to do....i'm sure i'll need step by step instructions if i ever get around to doing it! thanks for the great ideas! be flattered!
